    “Witherington notes that “When we actually examine the use of the phrase ‘the will of God’ in the only two places it appears in Paul’s writings (1 Thess 4:3; 5:1 8) it has to do with the mandates to maintain a holy life and to take up and practice regularly the three major forms of prayer (adoration, intercession, thanksgiving). “
